5 Precision Castparts (PCP) Trades

There is nothing sexy about this stock, except the way it trades...

1. LONG the week of 9.15.03 at $18.08 with a $15.40 stop. Traded as high as $160.10 the week of 10.1.07, then drifted back down to earth and traded through my $115.90 stop the week of 1.14.08. Gain of 539.2%

2. Reversed to SHORT the week of 1.14.08 at $115.57 with a $152.58 stop. Umm... $152.58? Yes. When volatility is high my stops are pretty wide. Traded as low as $46.94 the week of 11.17.08, then sideways for several months, and finally straight up to my $70 stop the week of 4.20.09. Gain of 58.4%

3. Reversed to LONG the week of 4.20.09 at $72.97 with a $49.45 stop. Traded as high as $135.33 the week of 4.26.10, but once again it ran out of gas and fell below my $109.28 stop the week of 6.21.10. Gain of 48.7%

4. Reversed to SHORT the week of 6.21.10 at $108.53 with a $134.39 stop. Traded as low as $100.96 the following week, then quickly took off (a little Boeing joke there) past my $126.66 stop the week of 9.13.10. Loss of -14.3%

5. Reversed to LONG the week of 9.13.10 at $126.68 with a $103.19 stop. Traded as high as $151.96 the week of 2.14.11, but like many other stocks it has cooled off a little bit recently. Last week it closed at $139.15 with a $130.77 stop. Gain of 9.8%
